The Modern Guy.
The final installment in the first series of Man opens with the cast playing poker on the roof of the Grand Daddy Hotel in Long Street, though the game plays second fiddle to Maurice’s continuing bewilderment as to why he can’t convert date time into physical intimacy. Henri decides the best strategy is to have no strategy.
The Pick Up takes place at the MCQP, Trevor reckons the chances of coming right are about 100%. It’s an outrageous event, and the guys dress, or hardly dress at all, for the occasion where they employ Henri’s party principal and cut loose.
The final dates for the season have some surprises install, Trevor is with Armin again, Kaizer has a special visitor and is talking more about settling down. Maurice is dating a religious lady, and Henri’s constant partying has left him burnt out.
It’s the last episode in the series, and as such the conclusion to the show gives cause to reflect on the past 13 weeks, what its involved, and what has been learnt from each other and about themselves.
